Which animals can live the longest on Earth?
Immortal jellyfish (Turritopsis dohrnii):
This jellyfish has the ability to “reverse” its life cycle, returning to its adult stage from a polyp, allowing it to regenerate and theoretically live indefinitely. It is considered an “immortal” biological animal, although it can still be destroyed by external factors such as disease or predation.

Greenland shark (Somniosus microcephalus):
The longest-lived known shark, the Greenland shark can live up to 400 years, making it the longest-living vertebrate on Earth.

Bowhead Whale (Balaena mysticetus):
This whale can live up to 200 years. It is one of the longest-lived mammals, and some individuals have been found to live over 200 years.

Galápagos tortoise (Chelonoidis nigra):
Galápagos tortoises can live over 100 years, and some individuals have been recorded living as long as 177 years.

Aldabra Tortoise (Aldabrachelys gigantea):
Aldabra tortoises can also live very long, even over 150 years.

There are also other animals such as the quahog clam (Arctica islandica), a mollusk that can live for more than 500 years.
